16-U Illinois Warriors Advance To The Final Four Of The Prestigious Nike Memorial Day Classic In Nashville, Tennessee
The 16-U Illinois Warriors have advanced to the Final Four of the prestigious Nike Memorial Day Classic in Nashville, Tennessee, and will play the New York Gauchos for the right to advance to the championship game.
The Warriors knocked off a tough St. Louis Eagles team 78-68 in the Elite 8 to advance to the Final Four. Anthony Johnson (Illinois Warriors) led the way with 23 points. Wisconsin-bound Vander Blue (Madison Memorial) added 21 points with Dwayne Evans (Neuqua Valley) chipping in 13 points.
The Warriors scored wins over both Wisconin Elite and the Arkanas Wings in pool play. Their only loss in pool play was a tough 64-61 loss to the Alabama Challenge.
