The Illinois Class of 2008 is starting to appear like it is going to be a monster recruiting class. This is a class that right now appears to have big time talent at all positions, and is certain to set off a recruiting frenzy among colleges. If you are a college with multiple 2008 scholarships available, Illinois will be a good place to hunt for talent.

Finding quality post players is always a challenge. However, the Illinois Class of 2008 has a lot of post depth. 6-9 Michael Dunigan (Chicago Farragut), 6-8 Josh Crittle (Timothy Christian) and 6-8 Jeremy Robinson (Decatur Eisenhower) are the top three post prospects. Although he is still a bit raw, Dunigan is loaded with potential. Crittle already has an NBA frame, and Robinson is not only big, but highly athletic.

This class also has 6-8 Luke Fabrizius (Hersey), 6-10 Brett Thompson (Vienna), 6-8 Jawan Nelson (Bloom) and 6-9 Kamil Janton (Bartlett).

6-6 DeAndre Liggins (Chicago Washington), 5-10 Kevin Dillard (Homewood-Flossmoor), 5-9 Lewis Jackson (Decatur Eisenhower), 6-0 John Moran (Jacobs), 5-10 Mike Dinunno (Lake Park), 6-0 Isiah Williams (Chciago Farragut), 6-2 Verdell Jones (Champaign Central), 6-0 Armani Williams (Elgin) and 5-8 A.J. Rompza (Chicago Whitney Young) provide lots of point guard talent.

Liggins is a dazzling combination of size and skill. Dillard and Jackson are big time players, and Dinunno, Moran and Williams are "lights out" shooters. Lots of talent here. Take your pick.

6-3 Dion Dixon (Chicago Crane), 6-5 Matthew Humphrey (Chicago Hales Franciscan), 6-4 Jeremy McCray (Evanston), 6-2 Jeremy Montgomery (Chicago Lincoln Park), 6-5 Rob Belcore (Loyola), 6-3 Supo Sanni (Homewood-Flossmoor) and 6-2 Matt Roth (Washington) will all draw lots of collegiate attention.

6-5 Nick Fruendt (Batavia), 6-10 Angel Garcia (Lake Forest Academy), 6-4 Ryan Hare (Chicago Marshall) and 6-7 Tyler Storm (Geneseo) are four very high level small forwards that are all already on a number of high-major radar screens.
