Chicago Simeon and Chicago Whitney Young will square off for the second time this season. This time, everything will be on the line as the two Chicago Public League powers will be meeting in the IHSA Class 4A state championship game.

Senior guard Brandon Spearman (Dayton) again led the way for Simeon in the semifinals with 19 points on 8-11 shooting. Spearman took control in the fourth quarter after O'Fallon rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit, and closed out the 49-42 win with an emphatic dunk.

Senior point guard Ahmad Starks (Oregon State) continued his stellar play, and drained a jumper as time expired to give Whitney Young a 60-58 win over Waukegan to send the Dolphins back to the title game. Starks finished the game with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He was backed up by Anthony Johnson (Purdue) who scored 20 points.

Whitney Young won the match-up between the two Public League titans back in December by a score of 62-55. Whitney Young is the defending Class 4A state champion. Simeon won back-to-back state titles in 2006 and 2007, and finished as the Class 3A state runner-up in 2008.

Tonight, both programs will add another chapter to their storied histories with the winner emerging as the 2010 IHSA Class 4A state champion. The Chicago Simeon/Whitney Young game will tip-off at 8:15 p.m. immediately following the O'Fallon/Waukegan third-place game at 6:30 p.m.
