Class of 2011 Marion High School star Aaron Adeoye just wrapped up an unofficial visit to Tennessee-Martin, and is preparing for his senior season on the football field while sorting through his basketball recruiting. Adeoye is one of the top 2011 prospects in Illinois.

Adeoye, a 6'6" strong and highly athletic power forward followed up a strong junior season at Marion High School with a strong run on travel team circuit with the St. Louis Eagles.

“The visit at you UT-Martin was great. I really like the staff; the campus was way better than I expected it to be, and we took a tour and viewed the facility. Then we talked to the academic adviser and viewed the dorms, and I talked to two of the guys on the team and ate lunch,” said Adeoye.

Adeoye was offered by UT-Martin back in July, and now has an increased interest in the school. “Well, they offered me at the end of July and first it was just alright, but now since I visited I am very interested in the college. Now that I have seen the campus, had a chance to really spend some time with the coaches, and take it all in.”

Adeoye is also looking to set up visits to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and Southeast Missouri State. He also has Eastern Illinois actively recruiting him.

Adeoye enjoyed his run with the St. Louis Eagles on the travel team circuit. It was a really good experience. I definitely liked it a lot. We tried to reach most of our goals that we set before the season which was to get to the finals of every tournament, which we did. We had some tough loses, but overall it was a fun playing against great competition. It showed me where I was with my game even though I didn’t have to score a lot of points because we had great guards on the floor at all times. It was fine because I contributed in other areas to our team’s success. I know I can probably guard and rebound with some of the best players in the nation.”
