Behind a strong effort from Shea Sumpter (Rich East), the Illinois Ice knocked off both the Indiana Dawgs and Shining Stars Sports to finish pool play undefeated. Jamere Dismukes (Rich East) came up big both with his scoring and defense on Saturday night as the Ice knocked off Fieldhouse Team Indiana to advance to their Sweet 16 match-up against a loaded Indiana Elite team that won the Pittsburgh Jam Fest earlier this spring. The Ice played a bit shorthanded with both Larnell Pillow and Stephen O'Neal out of action. Pillow sacrificed the tournament to take the opporutunity to spend Mother's Day at home. Last weekend, the Ice advanced all the way to the 17-U Silver Division title game at the Bill Hensley Memorial Spiece Run N' Slam.
