Class of 2012 Peoria Central star Antonio "Bobo" Drummond of the Illinois Wolves is looking forward to the coming season, and has spent the past few months working hard on his game. Drummond rates as one of the top Class of 2012 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois.

Drummond, a 5'10" point guard, is a dazzling floor leader who excels with his ball-distribution skills. Drummond was the starting point guard for Peoria Central as a freshman, and spent the spring and summer playing up an age division with the 16-U Illinois Wolves.

“This fall I worked out a lot with my high school coach preparing for the season. I decided not to play in a fall league, and just spent time working on my individual game in the gym. The area of my game that I have improved on the most has to be my leadership, and next to that my jump shot,” said Drummond.

Drummond is eager to get the high school season underway, and has lofty expectations for his team. Drummond said, “We have very high expectations for our team this coming year. I really believe we can make a run at state this year, and can bring home some hardware.”

In terms of recruiting, Drummonds notes that things are pretty much the same at the moment. He mentions that Bradley has stepped up their recruiting efforts, and that a number of schools have expressed to him that they are watching, and keeping close tabs.

He also notes that the recent commitments from the 2012 class have not changed his focus, and that he is not close to making a decision. Drummond has his sights set on having a big sophomore year. Illinois, Bradley, DePaul, Marquette and Wisconsin are schools that Drummond mentions as currently being in the mix.
