Class of 2013 Chicago De La Salle star Alex Foster of Mean Streets has picked up a high-major scholarship offer from Purdue University. Foster ranks as one of the top Class of 2013 basketball prospects in the country.

Foster, a 6'7" power forward, is a superb frontcourt talent who has the ability to dominate games offensively with his ability to score, and defensively with his rebounding and shot-blocking skills.

Foster, who is also a stellar student in the classroom, picked up a scholarship offer from the University of Illinois back in June, and also has Ohio State actively tracking him.

Foster is part of a loaded Illinois Class of 2013 that also includes 6'7" Thomas Hamilton (Chicago Whitney Young) and 6'5" Jabari Parker (Chicago Simeon).
