Class of 2013 Chicago De La Salle star Alex Foster of Mean Streets has now added a scholarship offer from Northwestern University to his fast-growing collection. Foster ranks as one of the top Class of 2013 basketball prospects in the United States.

Foster, a 6'7" power forward, is a superb frontcourt talent who has the ability to dominate games on both ends of the floor. Foster is coming off of a strong run on the spring and summer travel team circuit with Mean Streets, and while he primarily competed with their 14-U team, he did also spend a considerable amount of time playing up with their 15-U and 17-U teams as well.

Foster, who is a stellar student in the classroom, now adds a Northwestern offer to a collection that already includes offers from Illinois and Purdue. Ohio State is also very strongly in the mix, and has plans to host Foster for an unofficial visit.

This coming season, Foster and 6'8" Class of 2011 star Mike Shaw are expected to combine to form one of the top frontcourt duo's in the state of Illinois for a De La Salle team that is expected to once again be quite strong.
