The Scholarship Offer Party Continues For 6'10" Chicago Perspectives Star Anthony Davis Of Mean Streets Who Now Has Offers On The Table From Illinois, Indiana And Wisconsin Brian Stinnette May 2, 2010 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com The scholarship offer party for Class of 2011 Chicago Perspectives star Anthony Davis of Mean Streets continues to push full steam ahead with Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin now stepping up with scholarship offers. Davis, who has seen his recruiting stock skyrocket in the past month, now rates among the top prospects in the country. Davis, a highly skilled 6'10" forward, has exploded on the scene nationally with Mean Streets this spring, and after stellar showings at both the Nike Spring Showdown in Indiana, and the Spiece Run N' Slam now rates among the top Class of 2011 prospects in the United States. Davis was superb throughout the weekend at Spiece, and played extremely well against a number of highly regarded national post prospects. Davis had not previously played on the travel team circuit since middle school, when he played on a loaded Sonny Parker Chicago Select team that also included Wayne Blackshear (Chicago Morgan Park). Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin join a fast-growing list of schools, which also includes Syracuse that have offered Davis a scholarship. A long list of big-time national programs are also highly active with Davis, who led Mean Streets all the way to the semifinals of the Spiece Run N' Slam before they fell to Indiana Elite. |
