Head Coach Rodney Watson, Gerad Good And The University Of Southern Indiana, A Division II Powerhouse, Land 6'8" Freeport Star Austin Davis Of The Illinois Wolves Brian Stinnette October 31, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Head coach Rodney Watson, Gerad Good, and the University of Southern Indiana, a Division II powerhouse, have picked up a verbal commitment from Class of 2010 Freeport star Austin Davis of the Illinois Wolves. Davis ranks as one of the top Class of 2010 prospects in the state of Illinois. Davis, a 6'8" forward, is a highly versatile frontcourt talent who has the ability to get minutes at both forward slots. This summer, Davis saw his recruiting stock skyrocket on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Wolves on the heels of a number of strong performances. Southern Indiana rates as one of the top Division II programs in the country, and are currently led by former Peoria Richwoods and University of Illinois star Jamar Smith. Head coach Rodney Watson is in his first year as head coach at USI, and is expected to make recruiting the state of Illinois a priority. Mike Mullins of the Illinois Wolves confirmed the commitment by Davis to Southern Indiana. |
