Former Thornwood Star Trey Blue Of Brewster Academy Gives A Verbal Commitment To Play For Fordham University Of The Atlantic 10 Conference
Former Thornwood High School basketball star Trey Blue of New Hampshire-based prep school powerhouse Brewster Academy has given a verbal commitment to play his college basketball in the Atlantic 10 Conference for Fordham University.
Blue, a 6-3 shooting guard, is known for his ability to knock down shots with range, and his strong all-around game. Blue is enjoying a stellar post-graduate year on the hardwood with Brewster. Brewster head coach Jason Smith confirmed the verbal this morning.
A number of factors contributed to Blue's decision to attend Fordham including his strong relationship with head coach Derek Wittenberg and the entire staff at Fordham, an opportunity to play right away, and a chance to play in the Atlantic 10 Conference, one of the top basketball conferences in the country.
At Brewster, Blue has former Hillcrest star Kellen Thornton among his teammates this year. Last year, former Homewood-Flossmoor star Andre Walker, who now plays for Vanderbilt, played for head coach Jason Smith and Brewster Academy.
Former West Aurora star Michael Binns currently stars for Fordham.
