Former Thornwood star Trey Blue of Brewster Academy, and Class of 2009 Chicago Washington star Michael Haynes both have been impressive on the basketball court at the Reebok Summer Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. Last night, Blue scored 26 points to lead his CAPS All-Stars team past Haynes, and the Illinois Bobcats at the event.

Blue, a 6-3 shooting guard, just completed a stellar career at Thornwood High School, and will attend prep school powerhouse Brewster Academy this fall. Blue put on a shooting clinic in the win against the Bobcats. Blue, who twisted an ankle early in the event, has shaken off the injury, and has put up several strong performances.

Meanwhile, Haynes, has likewise been terrific through the event with a scoring average of about 20 points per game playing in the 17-U age division. Haynes has been equally strong rebounding the basketball, and has been the key for a Bobcats team that has also featured 6-8 Jawan Nelson (Bloom), 6-9 Dennis Kelly (Marian Catholic) and 6-6 Kellen Thornton (Hillcrest) in their frontcourt rotation.
