Great rebounders typically don't get nearly the respect that they deserve for their work inside that leads to wins. Here is a look at some of the top rebounders in the state of Illinois. Two of the best are 6'4" Chicago North Lawndale star Jermaine Winfield and 6'6" James Siakam of Brehm Prep.

Jermaine Winfield
Position: Power Forward Height: 6'4"
High School: Chicago North Lawndale Class: 2010
A tenacious rebounder on both ends of the floor. Puts up huge rebound numbers against bigger and smaller foes alike. It is not unusual at all to see Winfield get his hands on 15+ boards in a game.
James Siakam
Position: Power Forward Height: 6'6"
High School: Brehm Prep Class: 2011
Like Winfield, a tenacious rebounder who never quits on the glass. A strong and athletic force who is relentless inside. Recruiting stock has soared nationally, and is being recruited hard by schools from around the country.
Jereme Richmond
Position: Small Forward Height: 6'7"
High School: Waukegan Class: 2010
A University of Illinois recruit. A superb all-around talent who has the ability to take over all aspects of games including controlling the glass. Long and quick off the floor with great timing.
Meyers Leonard
Position: Center Height: 6'11"
High School: Robinson Class: 2010
A University of Illinois recruit. A strong and athletic post who does an excellent job of using his size to his advantage inside. An elite prospect who never shys away from contact inside.
Phillip Jackson
Position: Power Forward Height: 6'8"
High School: Chicago Hyde Park Class: 2010
A tall, long and athletic post who has the ability to gobble up rebounds at a high rate. Very good at using his long arms and athleticism to board on both ends of the floor. One of the top uncommitted 2010 prospects in Illinois.
Jordan Threloff
Position: Center Height: 6'10"
High School: DeKalb Class: 2010
An Illinois State University recruit. A big, strong and physical post who makes his living in the paint. Uses his strong frame and positioning to take control inside. Should be poised for another year of dominating inside for DeKalb.
