Class of 2011 Brehm Prep star Bruce Barron of the Illinois Titans has been as impressive as any prospect in the Illinois Class of 2011, and is continuing to take his game to new levels. Barron is as good as any point guard in the state of Illinois for the 2011 class.

Barron, who stands 6'4", is a terrific floor leader who delivers with an intriguing combination size, strength and overall basketball skill. Barron is a dominant offensive force who scores the ball from all points of the floor. Barron doubles as a superb ball-distributor, and is the younger brother of former Carbondale and University of Washington star Justin Dentmon.

Earlier this month, at the John A. Logan College Invitational, Barron put on a show! Against Mississippi Prep Elite, Barron sat out the first half ahead of entering the game in the second half, and scoring the basketball every way possible. The next day, against a loaded, and nationally-ranked John A. Logan College team Barron torched the nets to the tune of 28 points. Brehm tied the game at 81-81 with 1:30 to play ahead of falling by six points.

Barron, who was superb throughout the spring and summer on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Titans, will enter the Top 10 when the ChicagoHoops.com Class of 2011 prospect rankings are updated this week.

Barron is not lacking for attention from high-major programs. Brehm Prep head coach Aaron Lee mentions Boston College, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Illinois and Arkansas all among the long line of programs actively tracking Barron, who attended Midnight Madness at Oklahoma State in October. Look for Barron's list of suitors to continue to grow througout the high school season.

Barron, fellow Class of 2011 stars James Siakam and Dre Henley, 2012 star Emmanuel Ochenje, 2010 stars Oto Osenieks, Mike Liabo and Brehm Prep are in the midst of playing a very tough 2009-10 schedule. The team will be on display later this month at the State Farm Tournament of Champions where they will lock up with the likes of Findlay Prep (NV), and also IMG Academy (FL).
