The match-ups for the second round of the Chicago Public League Playoffs are now set. Some terrific games are set for next week including Morgan Park/Whitney Young, Von Steuben/Simeon, Orr/Hyde Park and Julian/Marshall. 16 teams now remain in contention for the coveted city championship.

Second round games are set for next Wednesday. Wayne Blackshear, and Chicago Morgan Park taking on defending IHSA Class 4A state champion Chicago Whitney Young figures to be the most enticing match-up in a game that figures to be quite intense! The Morgan Park/Whitney Young winner will face the Von Steuben/Simeon winner in the quarterfinals of the event.

Walter Lemon, Phillip Greene, Jamari Traylor and Chicago Julian battling Vincent Garrett, Alphonso McKinnie and a surging Chicago Marshall team also figures to be highly competitive with the winner getting the Uplift/Bogan winner in the quarterfinals.

Class of 2011 star Mycheal Henry, and Chicago Orr facing off against Class of 2010 star Fabyon Harris, and Chicago Hyde Park will also be a stellar battle with the winner facing the North Lawndale/Curie winner in the quarterfinals.
