Robinson is widely regarded as a fast-rising young star within the college coaching ranks. Robinson joins a "power staff" that has been assembled by head coach Greg McDermott that also includes T.J. Otzelberger and Jeff Rutter. Robinson comes to Iowa State from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. Prior to that, Robinson was an assistant coach for four years at Illinois State University. Robinson is expected to tap into his vast recruiting ties in Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City at Iowa State. Robinson played collegiately at Indian Hills Community College and at Arkansas-Little Rock.
