Class Of 2009 Lake Forest Academy Star David Smith Of Full Package Athletics Picks Up A Missouri Valley Scholarship Offer From Drake University
Class of 2009 Lake Forest Academy star David Smith of Full Package Athletics has picked up a Missouri Valley scholarship offer from Drake University. Smith rates as one of the top 2009 prospects in the state of Illinois.
Smith, a 6-3 point guard, brings size, athleticism and an ability to score the basketball from all areas of the floor to the table.
Under the direction of new head coach Mark Phelps, and assistant coach Kareem Richardson, Drake University is making recruiting the state of Illinois a priority. Former Thornton star Josh Parker was a key performer as a freshman for a Drake team that won the Missouri Valley Conference. Parker figures to be a major player for the squad this year as a sophomore.
This coming season, Smith will run the show for another highly talented Lake Forest Academy squad that will also feature 6'9" Angus Brandt and 6'8" Todd Zafirovsky.
Smith is expected to be on campus at Drake University at the end of the month.
