Ohio University, and new head coach John Groce are among host of new scholarship offers for Class of 2009 Seton Academy star D.J. Cooper of MeanStreets.

Cooper, a 5'9" point guard, is a stellar decision-maker on the basketball court who excels with his ability to run a team. His stellar play at both the Next Level Invitational in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the Peach Jam Tournament have his recruiting stock continuing to spike higher.

In addition to Ohio, Cooper has also now picked up offers from New Orleans, Baylor and Buffalo to go along with the offers from Kent State and Loyola that he already held.

This coming high school season, Cooper, Tony Nixon, Kenny Stevenson and Corbin Thomas are expected to form the core of a very strong Seton Academy team that figures to rank among the best in the state of Illinois regardless of class affiliation.
