Donald Lawson Special to ChicagoHoops.com September 1, 2005 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com 6-9 Donald Lawson of Chicago Leo High School rates as one of the most recruited Class of 2006 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois. Follow along as Don gives us an inside look at his recruitment, and his life both on and off of the basketball court. This is Donald Lawson of Chicago Leo High School, and I this is the third installment of my Player Diary for ChicagoHoops.com. The summer is basically over, and the new school year has already begun. We have a new Principal, and some new rules here at Chicago Leo, so things are a little bit different than before. I have started to focus a lot more on my recruiting, and selecting a school. I have either school visits or home visits set up with Akron, Tulane, Kent State, Ball State, St. Bonaventure, Western Michigan, St. Louis, Bowling Green, Northern Illinois and also Toledo. I have already visited a number of campuses unoffically, and I am in the process of scheduling Official Visits to schools. I am doing a lot of running, and I am gearing my workouts toward improving my speed. I am also going to once again start placing an emphasis on my working on my post moves inside. I am very much looking forward to the coming season. This is my senior year, and I know that I have to take charge, be a leader and set an example for my teammates both on and off of the basketball court. That's all that I have for now. Until Next Time, Donald Lawson Chicago Leo High School |
