Head coach Stan Heath, and the University of South Florida, have landed Class of 2010 Chicago Foreman star Lavonte Dority of Chicago Elite/Full Package Athletics. Dority rates as one of the top Class of 2010 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois.

Dority, a 6'0" point guard, is a backcourt performer who delivers with his strength and his ability to score the ball driving to the hole. Dority will be a four-year starter for Foreman, and has long been one of the top prospects in the 2010 class.

Stan Heath has a history of success with point guards from the Chicago Public League as he landed former Chicago Marshall star Patrick Beverley when he was head coach at Arkansas.

Foreman head coach Terry Head confirmed the commitment, and noted that the opportunity to play in a power conference like the Big East, the opportunity to play right away and head coach Stan Heath were all factors in Dority's decision to select South Florida.

Dority is the fourth Class of 2010 Chicago Foreman player to verbal to a Division I school. Mike McCall (St. Louis), Tommy Woolridge (Eastern Illinois) and Eddie Denard (UIC) have also made commitments to Division I schools.
