Notre Dame-Bound Class Of 2010 Glenbrook North Star Alex Dragicevich Off To Powerful Start To His Senior Year, And Is Named MVP Of Billy Schnurr Tournament At Niles West Chicago Hoops November 29, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Very quietly, Notre Dame-bound Class of 2010 star Alex Dragicevich of Glenbrook North High School put up some very impressive numbers en route to leading Glenbrook North to the title at the Billy Schnurr Thanksgiving Tournament at Niles West High School. Dragicevich, a 6'7" guard, opened the event by dropping 30 points on Lake Forest. He then proceeded to score 24 points, dish out 8 assists and grab 7 boards against Chicago Urban Prep. Dragicevich then dropped 29 points on Niles West ahead of scoring 28 points in the title game against Rich South. Dragicevich, who was named MVP of the event, entered the season as a bona fide Mr. Basketball candidate, and his showing at the Billy Schnurr Tournament did nothing but enhance his credentials. Dragicevich, and 6'5" Austin Weber, a dynamic shooter with size, combine to give Glenbrook North a highly formidable duo that should give the Spartans plenty of firepower to mount a run downstate in March. |
