Sizzling-Hot Class Of 2010 Deerfield Star Duje Dukan Of Full Package Athletics Has Strong Visit To New Mexico With Visits To Both Wisconsin And Arizona State Up Next Cavan Walsh November 3, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Class of 2010 Deerfield star Duje Dukan of Full Package Athletics is seeing his recruitment explode, and had a great visit to the campus of the University of New Mexico, which followed his picking up a Big 10 scholarship offer from Wisconsin. Dukan, a highly skilled 6'8" forward, is one of the top shooters in the state of Illinois, and is a player who is only scratching the surface in terms of how good he could ultimately be. “It went really well. We got time to meet the coaching staff and players, and got to see what it is like on a daily basis. I got to see The PIT which was pretty cool because it's such a famous arena. The visit went really well," said Dukan in reference to his New Mexico visit. New Mexico expressed to Dukan exactly how they see him fitting into their program. Dukan noted, “Well they got a player, Roman Martinez who they essentially want me to replace. He's playing like 35 minutes a game for them this year and they want me to be able to use all my skills of shooting, handling, and passing.” Dukan will be on campus at Wisconsin tomorrow. Dukan said, "They offered last week, and then we decided to go up there Wednesday to meet all the coaches and players, and so they can talk to me and tell me how they see me fitting in. They also have an exhibition game, so I will get to see everyone in action which will be fun.” Dukan is slated to follow the Wisconsin visit with a trip to Arizona State, and will then sit down and evaluate all of his options. Dukan also stated that all of the schools recruiting him are still in play without regard to whether or not they are high-major programs. |
