Elmhurst competes in the always tough College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Elmhurst has signed 5-10 point guard Mike McCurdy (Burlington Central), 6-2 shooting guard Zack Boyd (Warrensburg-Latham), 6-5 small forward A.J. Sutherlin (North Montgomery, IN), 6-1 guard David Lopez (Luther North) and 6-8 center Wes Dukeman (Arthur). Graduating just one senior, Elmhurst is set up for a big year in 2008-09. The team will be led 6-9 post Brent Ruch who last season averaged 16.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Also returning is 6-4 guard Ryan Burks, who last year led the team with a scoring average of 17.2 points per contest.
