Mean Streets and the Peoria Irish shared the 17-U title, PrymeTyme rode a string of highly impressive wins to the 16-U title, and Mean Streets won the 15-U title yesterday as the 2010 ChicagoHoops.com End of Season Showdown wrapped up a terrific three days of basketball with the crowning of champions.

Mean Streets opened the playoffs by defeating a Full Package-Walker team that received a dazzling effort from Charles McKinney, and then defeated Austin Richey (Lowell, IN), and the CAPS All-Stars in the semifinals to earn their share of the title. The Peoria Irish survived a tight opening round contest against Wisconsin-based Friends of Hoop, and then defeated Michigan Hurricanes-Grady Elite and the Omaha Sports Academy to earn their share of the 17-U crown.

PrymeTyme won the 16-U division with a superb playoff run. They opened the playoffs with a big win over a strong Indiana Elite team that featured Hanner Perrea, Yogi Ferrell (Park Tudor, IN) and Aaric Armstead (Chicago Hales Franciscan). They then defeated Full Package-Reuter in the semifinals ahead of defeating Jeremy Hollowell (Lawrence Central, IN), and the Eric Gordon All-Stars in the 16-U Gold championship game. Fred Van Vleet (Rockford Auburn) and Marcus Posley (Winnebago) again led the charge for PrymeTyme to close out a superb July run for the team.

Mean Streets run to the 15-U title included a big win over a strong Illinois Wildcats team ahead of knocking off a young and powerful Mean Streets-Wilburn team in the title game. Alex Foster (Chicago De La Salle), Nick Davidson (Gary Andrean, IN), Jubril Adekoya (Andrew), Alvin Ellis (Chicago De La Salle) and Kendrick Nunn (Chicago Simeon) led the way for Mean Streets.

43 Hoops and Peoria Carver shared the 17-U Silver Division title. The Peoria Irish won the 16-U Silver Division title, Indianapolis-based Air Indiana UpTempo won the 15-U Silver Division title.
