Downers Grove South Star Elliot Engelmann Gives A Verbal Commitment To Play Basketball For Butler University Chicago Hoops September 9, 2005 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Downers Grove South star Elliot Engelmann has given a verbal commitment to play basketball next year for Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Engelmann ranks among the top Class of 2006 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois. Engelmann, a 6-7 forward, greatly enhanced his stock this summer with a series of strong efforts on the summer basketball circuit while playing with the Illinois Wolves. Engelmann is tall, long and has the ability to get points both inside and outside. Last season, Engelmann teamed with Bryan Mullins (Southern Illinois), to lead Downers downstate to the Class AA state finals. Earlier this week, Engelmann's AAU teammate Will Walker (Bolingbrook), gave a verbal commitment to play for DePaul.
