Former St. Joseph Star Evan Turner's Stat Line Reads 15 Points, 14 Rebounds And 6 Assists In His Exhibition Debut At Point Guard For Ohio State Chicago Hoops November 5, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Former St. Joseph High School star Evan Turner is now the starting point guard in Ohio State's new up-tempo offense, and opened exhibition season with a stat line of 15 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists to lead Ohio State to a 86-48 win over Walsh University. Turner, who stands 6'7", is coming off of a sophomore season which saw him average 17.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest while playing small forward. Former Chicago Von Steuben High School star Jeremie Simmons added 10 points for Ohio State. Ohio State will open their season on Monday night at home against Alcorn State in the first round of the 2K Sports Classic to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer. |
