Former Chicago Hyde Park star Fabyon Harris has now decided to play collegiately for junior college powerhouse College of Southern Idaho. Harris will join Connecticut transfer Darius Smith (Chicago Marshall) and Paul Bunch (Chicago North Lawndale) at the school.

Harris, a high-scoring 5'9" point guard, was set to attend defending NJCAA National Champion Howard (TX) College after originally signing with the University of Houston. Harris has now decided to attend CSI.

“There isn’t any more moving around for me. I’m staying at College of Southern Idaho for good. This is my new home. CSI has been on me for the longest time, and I feel comfortable with my guys Darius Smith and Paul Bunch who will be my teammates, and the right crowd for me,” said Harris.

“Right now I’m feeling good. I can’t wait to get back on the court. It feels like I’m starting over fresh and starting a new journey. I’m sorry for the people I have let down in the past week. I’ve never been a bad kid. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I just want to make everything up and make my people in Chicago and my coaches at Hyde Park happy.”

Harris has been working hard on getting stronger. “I’ve been putting on a lot of pounds in the weight room. I spent a lot of time in the weight room at Houston where we had to lift at 7:30 a.m almost every day. Then when I got back to Chicago I was running on the track, and spending a lot of time lifting. I’ve put on around sixteen pounds of muscle,” said Harris.
