17-U Mac Irvin Fire To Open In Las Vegas, Will Move Phillip Jackson, Wayne Blackshear And Sam Thompson Up To 17-U Team For Desert Duel In Phoenix, Arizona
The 17-U Mac Irvin Fire will begin play today at the Main Event in Las Vegas, Nevada. Following the Main Event, the 17-U Fire will then be heading to Phoenix, Arizona where they, along with the 17-U Illinois Wolves, will compete at the Desert Duel.
At the Desert Duel, the Fire will be playing 6'8" Class of 2010 star Phillip Jackson (Chicago Providence Mel) and Class of 2011 stars 6'5" Wayne Blackshear (Chicago Curie) and 6'6" Sam Thompson (Chicago Whitney Young) up to the 17-U team. Jackson, Blackshear and Thompson will play with the 16-U Fire in Las Vegas at the Main Event.
The Desert Duel will feature 32 of the top travel teams in the United States, and figures to be one of the top tournaments in terms of competition during the July Evaluation Period.
