Garcia, a 6-6 shooting guard, has seen his recruiting stock spike this spring and summer on the heels of his strong play with the Rising Stars. Garcia is expected to suit up for Evanston Township High School this year after playing his first three years at Niles West. Garcia, who already holds offers from a number of Division I programs, including the University of Alabama, caught the eye of new Providence College head coach Keno Davis at the Nike Peach Jam. With a staff that includes former Thornton High School, and University of Iowa star Rodell Davis, Providence is looking to recruit the state of Illinois very hard. Class of 2009 Chicago Whitney Young star Chris Colvin is also very much on the Providence radar screen.
