Class Of 2009 Niles West Star Nik Garcia Of The Rising Stars Picks Up A Scholarship Offer From Alabama Of The Southeastern Conference
Class of 2009 Niles West star Nik Garcia of the 17-U Rising Stars has picked up a scholarship offer from the University of Alabama of the Southeastern Conference. Garcia ranks as one of the top 2009 prospects in the state of Illinois.
Garcia, a 6-6 shooting guard, has sizzled during the live period with his ability to shoot the basketball. Garcia, who has long held offers from the likes of Southern Illinois, Illinois State and Northern Illinois, has boosted his recruiting profile with his showings at both the Kingwood Classic, and also the King James Shooting Stars Classic.
Miami (FL), Georgia Tech and Wake Forest have all made inquiries on Garcia this week. The Rising Stars will be off this coming weekend, ahead of playing in the GBOA Tournament on May 10-11.
Garcia plays for a Rising Stars team that went all the way to the championship game of the King James Shooting Stars Classic, and also features Illinois-bound Jereme Richmond, Notre Dame-bound Jack Cooley, DePaul-bound Cully Payne and Marcus Jordan.
