7-1 Former Chicago Boys To Men Academy Star Clarence Holloway To Miss Season At University Of Louisville Following Heart Surgery
Former Chicago Harlan, and Chicago Boys To Men Academy star Clarence Holloway of the University of Louisville will be sidelined this year after undergoing emergency heart surgery over the weekend. Defects with his aorta, and his aortic valve were discovered during a physical examination last week.
Holloway, a 7-1 center, came through the surgery extremely well, and it is expected that he will make a full recovery.
Loren Jackson, Holloway's former coach at Chicago Boys To Men Academy said, "There are more important things in life other than basketball!" Jackson also noted that several of Holloway's former teammates had reached out with their support upon learning that Holloway would be undergoing surgery.
Holloway originally signed with Louisville out of Harlan High School ahead of spending a season at IMG Academy in Florida, and last year at Chicago Boys To Men Academy.
