Parker rates as one of the top Class of 2013 basketball prospects in the United States. Parker, a 6'6" guard/forward, is in the midst of a strong freshman year on the basketball court. Parker is a superb basketball talent who excels with his ability to dominate games in a variety of ways, and with his high level of basketball skill. Parker is part of a very strong Illinois Class of 2013 that also features Thomas Hamilton (Chicago Whitney Young) and Alex Foster (Chicago De La Salle). Parker has already picked up a long line of high-major scholarship offers including Illinois, Northwestern, DePaul, Florida, Kansas, Oregon State, Washington and Brigham Young to name a few. Kentucky has also taken notice of Parker, and had assistant coach Rod Strickland on hand last week when Simeon played Chicago Julian. Jabari's father, former NBA star Sonny Parker confirmed the scholarship offers from Pittsburgh and Providence. Parker, and Chicago Simeon will next be in action on Wednesday when they host Chicago Mather in the Chicago Public League Playoffs. |
