Class Of 2010 Oswego East Star Jay Harris Of Illinois Old School Is Actively Engaged In The Recruiting Process, And Has Starting Making Official Visits Brian Stinnette November 4, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Class of 2010 Oswego East star Jay Harris of Illinois Old School is actively engaged in the recruiting process, and has begun to schedule campus visits. Harris rates as one of the top Class of 2010 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois. Harris, a 6'1" point guard, has long been known for his ability to score the basketball, but took his game to another level this spring and summer by putting his ability to run a team on full display. Harris was at his best on the travel team circuit this year when he was matched against elite competition. Harris torched both the Spiece Indy Heat, and also Seattle Rotary back in May at the Spiece Run N' Slam en route to leading his team to a pair of dynamic upset wins. Harris has caught the eye of a number of national scouts, and is currently ranked by ESPN as one of the Top 100 2010 prospects in the country. Andy Borman of Illinois Old School noted to ChicagoHoops.com that Harris is continuing to draw recruiting interest from around the country, and has begun the process of making campus visits. Harris has already taken an official visit to Atlantic 10 fast-riser Duquesne, who offered a scholarship over the summer. Harris is set to take an official visit to North Dakota State later this week, and also now has Nothern Iowa picking up on his recruiting trail. Harris is in position to have a huge senior year on the hardwood, and is a player who could continue to see his recruiting stock explode during the course of the high school season as he has the unique ability of being able to put a team on his back offensively. |
