Former Chicago Harlan star Jeremiah Bryant has signed to play basketball this fall for Greg Heiar, and junior college powerhouse Chipola. Florida-based Chipola, which is loaded with Chicago players, finished fourth in the country last season.
Bryant, a 6-8 power forward, is a Dennis Rodman-type player. He is a big time rebounder and shot blocker who always plays with a high level of intensity.
Bryant is both long and athletic. He loves to mix it up inside. He will join a Chipola roster that is loaded with former Chicago Public League stars including, 6-4 Jamarcus Ellis (Chicago Westinghouse), 6-0 Stefhan Hannah (Chicago Hyde Park), 6-5 Ryne Hamblet (Chicago Von Steuben), 6-4 Demetrius Evans (Chicago Von Steuben) and 6-6 Johnny Harris (Chicago Vocational).
Ellis, Hannah and Bryant all rate as high-major basketball prospects. While Hamblet is a mid-major to mid-major plus prospect. Evans and Harris are both solid mid-major prospects.
