Class Of 2011 Chicago Morgan Park Star Jerome Brown Picks Up A Horizon League Scholarship Offer From UIC Brian Stinnette August 24, 2010 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Class of 2011 Chicago Morgan Park star Jerome Brown has now picked up a Horizon League scholarship offer from UIC. Brown ranks as one of the top Class of 2011 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois. Brown, a 6'5" shooting guard, ranks among the top long-range shooters in the state of Illinois. Brown thrived last year for Morgan Park by punishing opponents who double, and triple-teamed Wayne Blackshear (Louisville) with his ability to drill deep three-point baskets. Brown's signature effort was drilling six three-point baskets in the title game of the Chicago Public League Playoffs in February. Brown, who competed on the travel team circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire, has a host of other schools also active in his recruitment including Bradley, Murray State, Eastern Illinois and Central Michigan to name a few. Chicago Morgan Park head coach Nick Irvin, who has long known new head coach Howard Moore, confirmed the scholarship offer from UIC. |
