Former Lockport Township star Brian Bradley was named MVP as Joliet Junior College defeated Rochester (MN) Community & Technical College 94-82 to win the NJCAA Division III National Championship over the weekend.

Joliet trailed by a count of 42-39 at halftime ahead of mounting a 15-point turnaround in the second half to fuel their 94-82 national championship win. Lennell Pierce (Joliet Township) led Joliet with 21 points in the title game. He was backed up by Brian Bradley (Lockport) with 19 points, Jon Bartlett (Lincoln-Way East) with 16 points, Andy Supergan (Seneca) with 15 points and Pat Devine (Joliet Catholic) with 14 points. Reggie Lemon (Plainfield North) came up with a clutch defensive play and bucket to help fuel Joliet's second half rally.

Bradley averaged better than 22 points and 8 rebounds per contest during the National Tournament en route to being named MVP of the event.
