Class of 2011 East St. Louis High School star Keante Minor, one of the top football prospects in the state of Illinois, is very quietly putting together a very, very strong junior year on the basketball court. Minor ranks as one of the top Class of 2011 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois.

Minor, a 6'2" shooting guard, is a strong and athletic backcourt talent with great speed and quickness. Minor is a player who has the ability to score from all points of the floor, and also has the ability to carry a team for stretches offensively. This season, Minor is averaging nearly 21 points per game this season, and is the "go-to" guy on offense for East St. Louis.

Minor's efforts this season include a 30-point scoring outburst against Cairo, 28 points against Collinsville, and a monster 28-point effort earlier this month in a 69-68 loss to O'Fallon, a team that currently shares the #1-ranking with Champaign Centennial in the ChicagoHoops.com Super 10 High School Team Rankings.

On the football field, Minor is a star wide receiver, and is considered one of the truly elite prospects in the state of Illinois.

Minor, and his East St. Louis teammates, will next be in action on Tuesday at home against Alton High School.
