Former Hillcrest Star Kellen Thornton, Who Is Transferring From Illinois State, Now Has His Release Chicago Hoops August 31, 2010 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Former Hillcrest star Kellen Thornton, who earlier last week announced that he would be transferring from Illinois State University, now has his release from the school, and is actively looking for his next destination. Thorton, a 6'7" forward, did a postgraduate year at Brewster Academy following his senior season at Hillcrest. Thornton had begun to come on strong for Illinois State last year as a sophomore, and was expected to be a frontcourt contributor this season. Thornton still has two years of playing eligibility remaining. |
