Kent ranked as one of the top Class of 2005 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois as a high school senior. Kent, a 6-5 shooting guard, is averaging 19.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds on the season. This week, Kent was named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of Week after scoring 18 points against North Carolina Wilmington, and 22 points against Pittsburgh. Kent has emerged as Toledo's primary offensive weapon this year after averaging 3.7 points as a freshman, and 5.7 points as a sophomore.
