Each and every year the south suburbs of Chicago cranks out a high volume of elite basketball talent. The Class of 2010 keeps that tradition alive with another group of talented players. Here is a quick look at the top contenders from 2010 who are set to compete for the title of "King of the South". The group is headed by Illinois-bound Rich South star Crandall Head and Reggie Smith of Thornton.

The top uncommitted Class of 2010 prospect in the state of Illinois. Led Thornton to a terrific run during the 2008-09 season. Will again team with 2011 star Jay Parker to lead a Thornton team that is again expected to among the best in the state.

A strong and athletic frontcourt star who has the ability to score and board inside. When he is on his game, Oliveria is a force inside. Will anchor the post for a Seton Academy team that will be looking for a repeat run of their 2A state title of a year ago. |
