Class Of 2010 Springfield Lanphier Star Karl Madison Actively Engaged In The Process Of Selecting A School, And Firmly Entrenched As An Elite 2010 Prospect Cavan Walsh August 17, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Class of 2010 Springfield Lanphier star Karl Madison of the St. Louis Eagles has now wrapped up a strong run on the spring and summer travel team circuit, and can now focus on his recruitment, and preparing for his senior year in high school. Madison, a 5'10" point guard, is a dazzling floor leader who excels both with his scoring, and his ball-distribution skills. Madison rates with Mike McCall (Chicago Foreman) and Reggie Smith (Thorton) as the top uncommitted point guard prospects still on the board in the Illinois Class of 2010. Madison has long been a hot commodity among college recruiters, and can now focus his full attention toward the process of selecting a school. Madison said, "Everything is going smooth. I am just being patient with everything so I can make sure and pick the right school for me. As of now my top schools are Nevada, DePaul, Northwestern, Northern Iowa, Drake, Illinois State, and Cal Poly. I want to make my decision before the high school season begins, but if I have to prolong my decision I will." Madison went on to note that, "I want to go to a school that I can go in as a freshman and play right away. Not saying I have to start but I do want playing time. I want to have a good relationship with the coaching staff and team. I want to get a good education as well." Last year, Madison, who will be a four-year varsity starter at Lanphier, led his team with a scoring average of better than 20 points per game, in addition to also leading his team in assists, steals, and a number of other categories. |
