The Lake Forest Academy basketball team is once again loaded with talent, and in turn have seen some of the top college basketball programs in the country flocking into their gym to check out the talent. 6'10" Australian Angus Brandt has been the most popular attraction.

Lake Forest Academy head coach Matt Vaughn notes that Craig Robinson (Oregon State), Ben Howland (UCLA), Paul Hewitt (Georgia Tech), Herb Sendek (Arizona State), Steve Alford (New Mexico), Jeff Bdzelik (Colorado), John Beilein (Michigan), Mark Phelps (Drake), Bill Coen (Northeastern) and Ken McDonald (Western Kentucky) are all among the head coaches that have made the trip to Lake Forest Academy.

6'10" Class of 2009 post Angus Brandt, who burst on to the scene this summer with Full Package/Chicago Elite, has received a good deal of the attention from the schools. Vaughn notes that he could soon be ready to narrow down his list. However, the team also features a great deal of talent, and has a number of other prospects on Division I radar screens.

6'3" guard David Smith recently picked up an offer from Drake University, and now also has both George Washington and Tulsa on his trail. 6'9" Todd Zafirovski is continuing to improve, and is getting attention from Valparaiso, Northeastern and Penn.

6'7" Markus Rodgers, 6'6" Michael Banczer and 6'6 Remy Ndiaye are a trio of prospects from the Class of 2010 who are also beginning to pop up on collegiate radar screens, and will all likely see their recruiting profiles grow during the course of the season.
