Sophomore star Luke Norman of Freeport High School is a Class of 2012 prospect to watch. Norman, who competes on the travel team circuit with Rockford-based Prymetyme, rates as one of the top 2012 prospects in the state of Illinois.

Norman, a 5'11" guard, is a highly versatile backcourt performer who delivers with his strong all-around skill set on the basketball court. Norman played up with the Freeport High School varsity last year as a freshman. Norman comes from great basketball bloodlines as his father, Pete Norman, recently retired after a stellar run as head coach at juco powerhouse Highland Community College.

Norman, who can play either guard slot, is looking forward to the coming high school season, and knows exactly what he bring to the table. Norman notes that he feels that his basketball knowledge, his three-point shooting, his ability to penetrate and finish, and the fact that he can play either guard slot are the strengths that he brings to the table.

Norman is working on improving all aspects of his game including his ball-handling, his help-side defense, and being under control at all times.

This coming season, Norman will again be a key member of a strong Freeport High School team that also features 6'7" Class of 2010 star Austin Davis.
