Class of 2010 Brehm Prep star Mike Liabo has signed a Letter of Intent to play his college basketball for head coach Mike Dement, and the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Liabo rates as one of the top Class of 2010 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois.

Liabo, a 6'5" shooting guard, is a lefty who is known for his ability to drill shots with range and accuracy. Liabo is player who has the ability to put up a lot of points in a hurry, and is at his best raining three-point bombs on opponents.

“Last week I committed to UNC Greensboro on the first day of the early signing period. They play a really great schedule, they play like 7 ACC schools a year and they just moved into the Greensboro Coliseum and it holds 24,000 people. They really have a nice campus, good academics, and it was really the best fit for me in my opinion,” said Liabo.

Liabo joins a UNCG 2010 recruiting class that also includes 6'9" Cody Henegar, 6'2" Drew Parker and 6'5" Travis Simpson.

Liabo, and his Brehm Prep teammates, will be in action next week at the State Farm Tournament of Champions, and Liabo can't wait. “The season is going pretty good, we are 4-3 right now, and all our loses are to JUCO’s. The games that we have lost have been really close, and like I said earlier I can’t wait to play in Peoria next week,” noted Liabo.
