Class Of 2010 Crete-Monee Star Mario Redmond Of The Illinois Wolverines Picks Up A Scholarship Offer From Loyola University Chicago Hoops July 2, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Class of 2010 Crete-Monee star Mario Redmond of the Illinois Wolverines has picked up a Horizon League scholarship offer from Loyola University. Redmond ranks as one of the top Class of 2010 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois. Redmond, a 6'6" forward, is a long and athletic frontcourt talent who makes things happen both inside and outside. Offensively, Redmond is a player who thrives in up-tempo settings, and has the ability to get points with his jumper, off the dribble, and also with his solid finishing skills inside. Defensively, Redmond is a superb shot-blocker and rebounder, and is capable of guarding multiple positions. Redmond is enjoying a stellar run thus far this season on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Wolverines, and will be in action at the Chicago Summer Classic on July 9-11 in Deerfield, Illinois.
