Homecoming is set for this weekend at Northern Illinois University, and with that, the school has a huge basketball recruiting weekend on tap with a host of top prospects expected on campus including highly regarded post targets Kyle Cain and Chris Olivier.

6'7" former Thornton Fractional North star Kyle Cain (New Hampton Prep), and 6'7" Class of 2010 star Chris Olivier (Seton Academy) are both slated to be on campus for official visits. Cain is coming off of a stellar run on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Warriors. Olivier picked up a host of Division I offers this summer while competing on the travel team circuit with Mean Streets and First Step.

In addition to Cain and Olivier, Northern Illinois is also expecting Class of 2011 stars George Marshall (Chicago Brooks), Macari Brooks (Rich South) and Jamie Crockett (Crete-Monee) in for unofficial visits.

Head coach Ricardo Patton, Todd Townsend, Sundance Wicks and Will Smith are continuing to pound the recruiting trail extremely hard with an emphasis on Chicago, and are in position to make some major noise on the recruiting trail.

Northern Illinois enters this coming season with a chance to do some major damage in the Mid-American Conference with Colorado transfer Xavier Silas becoming eligible, and the likes of Darien Anderson (Chicago Carver) returning.
