Illinois-Based Junior College Heavyweights Lewis & Clark And Lincoln College Both Advance To The Final Four Of The NJCAA Division II National Tournament

Illinois-based junior college heavyweights Lewis & Clark University and Lincoln College have now both advanced to the Final Four of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. Both are now one victory away from playing for the National Championship.

Lewis & Clark, which is under the direction of head coach Deon Thomas, who starred both at Chicago Simeon and University of Illinois, defeated St. Clair County Community College in the first round, and Cecil College (MD) in round two. They will square off against Cincinnati State (OH) tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the semifinals.

Lincoln College opened the event by defeating Pima Community College (AZ) in the first round, and then came back to defeat Kishwaukee College in round two. They will now face Kirkwood Community College (IA) tonight at 8:30 p.m. in the semifinals.

The winners of the semifinal contests will then meet for the NJCAA Division II National Championship on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

The NJCAA Division II National Tournament is being held on the campus of Danville Community College in Danville, Illinois.
