Pleasant Valley (IA) defeated Hillcrest to win the title at Bill Carmody's Northwestern University Team Camp over the weekend on the campus of Northwestern University. Pleasant Valley defeated Maine East in the semifinals to advance to the title game, while Hillcrest topped Chicago Kenwood to advance to the title tilt.
In the quarterfinals, Pleasant Valley topped Lake Forest, Maine East defeated Leyden, Chicago Kenwood topped Chicago Senn, and Hillcrest defeated Chicago St. Ignatius. Pleasant Valley then went on to defeat Maine East, while Hillcrest beat Chicago Kenwood.
Hillcrest, which relied on their usual balanced team effort, was led by DeShawn Dockery, Travis Scott, Ryan Logan and Stefan Kent.
