Class of 2011 Rock Island star Chasson Randle, and fellow Class of 2011 star Nnanna Egwu of Chicago St. Ignatius, who both compete on the travel team circuit with the 16-U Illinois Wolves, have both picked up scholarship offers from Northwestern University.

Randle, a 6'2" guard, has seen his recruiting stock explode over the course of the past year and a half, and in addition to Northwestern, holds offers from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa and Iowa State to name a few. Randle currently shares the #1-ranking in the Illinois Class of 2011 with Wayne Blackshear (Chicago Morgan Park), Mike Shaw (Chicago De La Salle) and Dre Henley (Chicago De La Salle).

Egwu, a 6'9" center, has likewise seen his recruiting stock take off. Egwu, who has only been playing basketball for a couple of years, continues to make tremendous strides with his game, and rates among the Top 10 Class of 2011 prospects in the state of Illinois. Prior to the Northwestern offer, Egwu picked up an offer from the University of Wisconsin earlier this year.

Mike Mullins of the Illinois Wolves confirmed the offers.

Randle and Egwu both showed very well last weekend at the Hall of Fame Chicago Showdown in Chicago, Illinois. Both will be in action next weekend at the Nike Spring Showdown In Indiana presented by ChicagoHoops.com. The event will be held just outside of Chicago at the brand new, State-Of-The-Art Fieldhouse of Merrillville in Merrillville, Indiana.
