For the second year in a row, Chris Head's Team Illinois Hawks have captured the P.E.P. Fall Classic title. The Hawks unleashed a ferocious team effort, and knocked off the Illinois Warriors 17-U team, Illinois Warriors 16-U team and the Illinois Fire en route to claiming the title. The Rising Stars 17-U team defeated the Illinois Wolves to win the NIT (Consolation) Bracket.

In the title game, the Illinois Fire led the Hawks 22-19 at the half, and 25-21 early in the 2nd half before the Hawks exploded, and took a 41-28 lead on the strength of a 20-3 run. Jeremy Coleman (Chicago Kenwood) knocked down 3 consecutive three-point baskets to help fuel the Hawks run.

The Hawks rolled the entire weekend and got contributions from pretty much their entire roster. No team could match the Hawks inside-outside attack on both ends of the floor. 6-0 Julius Hearns (Chicago Lincoln Park), 6-2 Patrick Beverly (Chicago Marshall), 6-2 Austin Hood (York), 6-4 John Kinsella (University High) Jeremy Coleman (Kenwood) and 6-2 Justin Hightower (Proviso West) gave the Hawks solid play, and tremendous depth on the perimeter. 6-7 Darius Gaters (Chicago Marshall) and 6-7 Josh Crittle (Timothy Christian) rebounding and beef inside.

In the NIT (Consolation) Bracket, the Rising Stars 17-U team led by Kevin Bulger (Glenbrook North) and Alex Burkle (Crystal Lake South) held off Willie Veasley (Freeport) and Elliot Engelmann of the Illinois Wolves to win the NIT title.
